| CAUTION: |
Dimensions of the outside diameter, the overall length
and crown to back length are all theoretical values, and some differences will
occur due to the corner chamfering of the gear tips. |
| CAUTION: |
Significant variations in temperature or humidity can
cause changes in plastic gears (MC Nylon). Please see the section on plastic
gears in the technical section. |
| NOTE: |
The allowable torques shown in the table are calculated
from the Lewis formula. |
| USEFUL HINT: |
For plastic materials, it is difficult to
determine the operating temperature below which there is no harmful effects from
long term, continuous operation. In general, it is set to 20 to 30 C below
the thermal deflection point. It is also set by actual usage experience. There
is not much data on low temperature limits. Users should rely on their own
experience taking the brittleness properties into consideration. Please see
"Characteristics of Plastic Gears" on p.101 for additional data. |
