CAUTION: Due to the thin face width, if you wish to perform secondary operations on these gears, please use care to avoid creating side runout and deformation. Be especially careful if you heat treat these gears as there is strong possibility of warping these gears.

NOTE: The allowable torques shown in the table are the calculated values according to JGMA Standards 401-01 and 402-01. The backlash values shown in the table are the theoretical values of a pair of identical gears in mesh. All dimensions shown in the above table(s) are listed in millimeters unless otherwise specified.

USEFUL HINT:
Definition of bending strength
The allowable bending strength of a gear is defined as the allowable tangential force at the pitch circle based on the mutually allowable root stress of two meshing gears under load.
Definition of surface durability
The surface durability of a gear is defined as the allowable tangential force at the pitch circle which permits the force to be transmitted safely without incurring surface failure.
