NOTE : The allowable torques shown in the table are the calculated values according to JGMA Standards 401-01 and 402-01. The backlash values shown in the table are the theoretical values of a pair of identical gears in mesh.

USEFUL HINT: By chamfering the corners of the top land of the gear tooth, gear noise is reduced, and the chance of damage occuring during handing and transportation is decreased. All KHK gears larger than module 1.5 have their teeth chamfered in this manner.
