CAUTION: Before assembling or performing any secondary operations, please carefully read the "Application Hints" at the beginning of this section.
CAUTION: Heat treating these worms is not recommended since it will introduce errors in the lead and pressure angles, producing poor gear mesh.
CAUTION: These worm gears are profile shifted to create the proper center distance.
CAUTION: H2 type worn gears have cast lightening holes in the web.
CAUTION: BG1-40R1 and 50R1 are made of PBC2.
NOTE: Allowable torques shown in the table are the calculated values according to JGMA Standards 405-01 when the worm is rotating at 600 rpm, The table below shows the allowable worm gear torques at selected worm speeds.
NOTE: SUW worms may also be used to mate with BG and CG worm gears.
